The Equality Pathway Initiative Launches “QueerConnect” — A Four-Week Job Preparedness Webinar Series for LGBTQIA+ Individuals

Empowering LGBTQIA+ Communities Through Career Readiness, Confidence Building, and Professional Development

The Equality Pathway Initiative is proud to announce the launch of QueerConnect, a four-week Job Preparedness Webinar Series created specifically to support LGBTQIA+ individuals in navigating today’s competitive job market with confidence, dignity, and purpose.

QueerConnect is more than a professional development training — it is a transformative career empowerment initiative designed to equip participants with practical workplace skills while fostering a safe, affirming, and inclusive learning environment.

Through interactive sessions, mentorship, and peer engagement, participants will gain the tools they need to successfully transition into professional spaces and thrive in their chosen career paths.

Over the course of four weeks, QueerConnect will provide tailored guidance for individuals at various stages of their career journey, including those:

  • Drafting their first CV or résumé,
  • Preparing for interviews,
  • Exploring professional communication skills, and
  • Learning how to navigate workplace culture and expectations.

Participants will leave the program with:

  • Polished job applications and standout interview techniques,
  • Professional and interpersonal competencies valued by employers,
  • Practical career resources for long-term professional growth, and
  • Increased confidence to pursue opportunities in diverse work environments.

Speaking about the initiative, representatives of The Equality Pathway Initiative emphasized the importance of creating equitable access to economic opportunities for LGBTQIA+ persons.

“Career development should be inclusive, affirming, and empowering. QueerConnect was designed to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity while ensuring LGBTQIA+ individuals feel seen, supported, and prepared for professional success.”

The organization noted that QueerConnect also aims to strengthen community connection by creating a supportive space where participants can build networks, share experiences, and grow alongside like-minded peers.

As workplaces continue to evolve toward greater diversity and inclusion, QueerConnect seeks to ensure that LGBTQIA+ individuals are not left behind, but instead are empowered to excel and lead.
