Effective Date: May 12, 2025
At The Equality Pathway Initiative (“TEPI,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), we are committed to transparency, accountability, and the responsible use of all funds received in support of our mission, programs, projects, advocacy efforts, and organizational development.
This Refund and Returns Policy explains how donations, sponsorships, grants, event payments, and other financial contributions are handled.
1. Donations and Contributions
All donations made to TEPI are considered voluntary and non-refundable unless otherwise stated in this policy.
Funds received are used to support:
- Community programs and outreach initiatives
- Advocacy and awareness campaigns
- Organizational operations and development
- Emergency response and support services
- Trainings, events, and educational activities
- Administrative and operational costs necessary to sustain our work
Once a donation has been processed successfully, it generally cannot be refunded because funds may be allocated immediately toward ongoing programs and organizational needs.
2. Refund Eligibility
Refund requests may be considered under the following circumstances:
- Duplicate or accidental donations
- Incorrect donation amount entered during payment
- Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions
- Technical errors resulting in multiple charges
- Cancellation of a paid TEPI event or service by the organization
Refund requests must be submitted within 14 business days of the original transaction date.
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us with the following information:
- Full name
- Date of transaction
- Amount donated or paid
- Payment method used
- Reason for the refund request
- Proof of payment or transaction receipt
Requests can be submitted via Email: admin@equalitypath.org
TEPI reserves the right to review all refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
4. Approved Refunds
If a refund request is approved:
- Refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible.
- Processing times may vary depending on the financial institution or payment platform.
- TEPI is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors or banks.
5. Event Registrations and Program Fees
For paid events, workshops, trainings, or programs:
- Refund eligibility may depend on the specific event terms communicated at registration.
- No refunds may be issued for cancellations made less than 72 hours before an event unless otherwise stated.
- TEPI reserves the right to reschedule, postpone, or cancel events when necessary.
If TEPI cancels an event, participants may receive:
- A full refund,
- Credit toward a future event, or
- The option to convert the payment into a donation.
6. Non-Returnable Items
Because TEPI primarily receives monetary contributions and provides services, advocacy, and programming, there are generally no physical products eligible for returns.
If TEPI distributes merchandise or materials during fundraising campaigns, separate return conditions may apply and will be communicated at the time of purchase.
7. Chargebacks and Disputes
We encourage donors and supporters to contact TEPI directly before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback with their bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving concerns fairly and promptly.
Fraudulent or abusive refund claims may result in refusal of future transactions or participation in TEPI activities.
8. Policy Updates
TEPI reserves the right to update or modify this Refund and Returns Policy at any time to reflect operational, legal, or organizational changes. Updated versions will be published through our official communication channels.
